The Center for Puppetry Arts will celebrate the grand opening of its Worlds of Puppetry Museum on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The museum will feature the world’s most comprehensive collection of Jim Henson puppets and artifacts, as well as puppets from around the world.

The day’s festivities will include special guest appearances from Sesame Street’s Abby Cadabby, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Sockly and other walk-around Center puppets, food trucks and more. The expanded museum store will offer puppet paraphernalia for sale, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will show at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. for guests to kick-off the yuletide season.

Adults wishing to experience the museum sans children are invited to visit from 4-6 p.m. Family crowds are expected to be lighter and the Center will start happy hour a little early with a beer/wine bar for those wishing to imbibe.

All museum ticketing is timed-entry; guests have the option of purchasing all-inclusive tickets or museum-only tickets.
