

***Updated: the mother, Sahar Alwadi, has been arrested, charged with kidnapping and was denied bond Dec. 22, Atlanta Police said during a press conference.
Atlanta police say the mother of an infant kidnapped her son while on a visit supervised by Division of Family and Children Services at Lenox Square Mall Monday.
Police say Ryan Alwadi, 14 months old, was in DFACS custody and on a supervised visit at Lenox Square Mall Monday when he was taken by his mother, Sahar Alwadi. They were last seen at 11:30 a.m., police said.
The mother was last seen wearing a black jacket, red T-shirt with gold lettering, gray/black sweat pants and orange Polo shoes. The child was wearing a gray/white/blue Calvin Klein sweatshirt, black pants and white or blue Keds shoes.
Police say Sahar Alwadi left the mall through Macy’s with Ryan and is not known to have a vehicle, according to DFACS.She is known to frequent the Sandy Springs area, police said.
