The city of Sandy Springs will start accepting applications on June 1 for its fiscal year 2017 nonprofit grant funds.
The city offers grants from a pool of $50,000 for projects completed between July 1 of this year and June 30, 2017.
To be eligible, organizations must be registered 501(c)(3) nonprofits that are “in good standing” and are located in the city or “substantially serving” Sandy Springs residents, according to the city. The funded programs must support one of the City Council’s policy priorities, which include: public safety, transportation, “recreation and cultural enhancement,” natural resource protection, community appearance, downtown development, sustainable growth and economic development.
The funds cannot be used for operational, administrative or fundraising functions.
Applications must be submitted online by 5 p.m. on Fri., July 1, via sandyspringsga.org/business/doing-business-with-the-city/non-profit-funding.
