Sidewalk construction is set to begin, weather permitting, on Tuesday, July 26, on North Druid Hills Road from Arrington Place heading south to Lenox Park Boulevard, according to a press release from the city of Brookhaven.

All equipment will be staged in the extra space of the turn lane just before Lenox Park Boulevard so as not to inconvenience the other two lanes and should not interfere with the regular right turn traffic turning onto Lenox Park Boulevard at the signal, the release states.

The construction should not interfere with normal traffic flow and the equipment will only be located in that turn lane between the normal construction working hours of 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The City Council approved June 21 a $324,000 bid for four segments of sidewalk construction to be completed within four weeks.

The North Druid Hills section of sidewalk is 1,350 linear feet with a total cost of $101,300.
