Tomorrow’s News Today reports that a JW Marriott will rise on part of the former Georgia Dome site adjacent to Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Downtown.
The 1,000-room hotel would also be adjacent to the upcoming Home Depot Backyard, a tailgating and event space, which will fill much of the old Dome site. The hotel will also connect to the southern end of the Georgia World Congress Center, near Northside Drive.
This would be the second JW Marriott branded hotel in Atlanta. The first opened in Buckhead in 1988 and is connected to Lenox Square.
