Longtime incumbent U.S. Rep. John Lewis was set to easily defeat a June 9 primary challenge for his 5th Congressional District seat.

Late on June 11, Lewis was leading fellow Democrat Barrington Martin II with more than 86% of the vote.

Lewis would face Republican challenger Angela Stanton-King on the November ballot in the district, which includes part of Buckhead.
