The Brookhaven Bike Alliance will celebrate National Bike Month all May long with an initiative called “Pedal the Parks.”
Residents can participate by biking alone or with friends and family to any of Brookhaven’s parks, taking a picture, and sharing it on social media with the hashtag #pedaltheparksbrookhaven.
Each week, the BBA will select one selfie-taker to win a $25 gift card from activewear store Big Peach Running Co., according to a press release. There is also a grand prize of a $100 gift card from REI.
For residents who don’t want to bike alone, the BBA is offering guided rides. District 4 Councilmember John Funny is hosting one of these guided rides on May 19th from 6-7 p.m., starting at the Briarwood trailhead of the Peachtree Creek Greenway.
