Our picks for the weekend:
@vinettaatl kicks off their residency this Friday and Saturday at The Daily in West Midtown. For the next three weekends, @joelspenn and @amanda___beth will be offering up hyper-seasonal, vegetable-forward menu that is southern but draws from techniques and flavors found across the globe. The dinners are first-come, first-served with an a la carte menu…no take-out.
A few festivals this weekend where the underground dining scene is playing a part: @candlerparkmusicfestival on Friday and Saturday where there is an extensive list of chefs including @eatphocue, @pats.poutine and a good number of less well known folks. On Sunday, get your Filipino food fix at the Philippine Festival Kalayaan Family Fun Day 2022 in Norcross where there will be lechon, pakbet, inihaw, pancit, afritada, relyeno, adobo, atchara, at mga kakanin katulad ng suman, biko, cassava, braso de mercedes, at baka may and halo halo. Also on Sunday in O4W, the weekly (for now) Street Food Mini Festival has an impressive showing of chefs this week with @biteofkorea, @baolicious.atl, @bearpizzeria, @humocuisine, @therealdealbakery and @mannysjuicebar.
If you need a Filipino fare on Saturday, stop by @kamayan_atl on Saturday where they will be slinging Silogs as part of their turo-turo.
For Bosnian, @krupana_atl is at Inner Voice Brewing Friday through Sunday. And late night Laos? @sosofedatl has you covered for pickup in Little 5 from 9PM-3AM on Friday and Saturday.
And finally, for some really unique and awesome BBQ, on Saturday find @atljerkking’s jerk chicken and jerk dishes at @boggssocial and Sunday check out @secretpintbbq’s Texas BBQ & Sausages at @littlecottagebrewery.
