Investigators with the Atlanta Police Department’s Homicide Unit are requesting the public’s assistance in providing information related to a fatal shooting and stolen dog in southwest Atlanta on Feb. 5.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the area of Mitchell Street and Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. Investigators said Samuel “JR” Harris, Jr., 44, was targeted and robbed by a group of individuals. During the robbery, Harris was fatally shot and his dog, Tequilla, was stolen.

APD said on Friday afternoon that the crime might have been witnessed by the men pictured below and is seeking to interview them. If anyone knows their identity, reach out to the Homicide Unit or Crime Stoppers.
