Movies by Moonlight returns for a second season at Heritage Amphitheatre in Sandy Springs beginning on Aug. 23 with the PG-rated film, “The Iron Giant.”

The first movie, “The Iron Giant,” tells the story of a young boy’s improbable friendship with a giant alien robot during the Cold War.

On Sept. 6 moviegoers can watch “The Princess Diaries,” a G-rated 2001 film.

The final movie will be “Halloweentown” on Oct. 4, a 1998 film rated TV-PG.

The films will begin just after sunset, around 8:30 p.m., on a giant inflatable screen set up at the amphitheater located at 6110 Blue Stone Road. Admission is free to all the films.

Moviegoers should bring blankets and chairs for a comfortable viewing experience. The outdoor lobby and concession stand open at 7:30 p.m., offering popcorn, hot dogs, candy, and more from The Popcorn Lady.
