The second annual Radio, Music & Film Summit will run in Hapeville, Ga. from Aug. 16-18.

The event is put on by the Radio, Music & Film Alliance of Georgia, and will take place at the Hilton Atlanta Airport Conference Center, according to a press release.  The weekend will consist of panels, screenings, autograph signings, and more.

The summit will kick off on Aug. 16 with an event called the 3rd Quarter Entertainment Industry Mixer and a screening of the 2022 film “As If We Were Ghosts.” On Aug. 17, there will be six panels focusing on topics such as filmmaking and music distribution. There will also be a space called the Speak Lounge, which will provide guests with health services such as blood pressure checks and mental health information.

The highlight of the weekend will be the All-White Honors Night on Aug. 17, which will celebrate excellence in the radio, music and film industries. The night will be hosted by Casual Cal, the first African American ringmaster; and Emmanuel Lewis, famous for playing the title character in the 1980s sitcom “Webster.”

The gala will feature live music performances and honor 20 people for their achievements in the industry, including fashion designer India Starke, musician Millie Jackson, actor Roderick Lawrence, and more.

“This event is more than just a gathering—it’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in the heart of the entertainment industry,” Emmanuel Lewis said in an emailed statement. “With dynamic educational workshops, unparalleled networking opportunities, and the transformative experience of The Speak Lounge wellness space, this summit is designed to empower and inspire. And don’t miss the All White Honors Night, where we’ll celebrate excellence with unforgettable performances. Join us, and be a part of a community that’s changing the narrative in radio, music, and film.”
