Giving Kitchen has appointed Allison Padilla-Goodman as its first chief executive officer. A James Beard Foundation award-winning nonprofit, Giving Kitchen provides financial assistance and community resources to food service workers in times of crisis.

Dim Sum + Southern Barbecue = yes! Sweet Auburn Barbecue and Soupbelly are joining forces on Aug. 27 to feature a pop-up menu with fusions like sticky and brisket fried rice, turnip cake, har gow and siu mai dumplings, and more. Jeni’s Ice Creams has teamed up with streetwear brand The Hundredsto launch a new ice cream flavor called Bastani Sonnati – a combination of saffron and rose water with the crunch of pistachios. After closing at Avalon in Alpharetta at the end of 2023, Bocado will return to the Metro Atlanta dining scene in September at Powers Ferry Village in Sandy Springs.
Mellow Mushroom is coming to Grant Park this fall. The Beltline location will feature a model that is unique from existing restaurants, including hand-painted murals and quick counter-service ordering.
