Atlanta Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a vehicles involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Aug. 4 along I-20.

Shantea Reeves, a 32-year-old mother, was struck by a vehicle as she walked along the shoulder of I-20 eastbound just past the Moreland Avenue on ramp around 1:30 a.m.

Preliminary information indicates two vehicles were racing on the interstate when one of the vehicles struck Reeves. Both vehicles left the scene.

Investigators located surveillance footage showing the accident and are asking anyone who was in the area and saw the vehicles to call Crime Stoppers. The vehicle that struck Reeves is believed to be a black Lexus.

Investigators urged anyone who might have dashcam footage of the incident or cars to come forward.

Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000.
