Discover Dunwoody has partnered with RE:IMAGINE in an effort to help raise money for the film nonprofit.

According to a press release, any guest who books a hotel through this reservation site at any of Dunwoody’s 10 hotels will automatically generate a donation to RE:IMAGINE. Launched in 2014, RE:IMAGINE is a nonprofit that aims to help create workforce opportunities in the film and media industry for Gen Z creatives.

“This partnership represents our commitment to supporting Georgia’s booming creative economy while investing in its future talent,” said Mark Galvin, Vice President of Marketing at Discover Dunwoody, in the release. “By choosing to stay in Dunwoody, entertainment industry professionals contribute directly to fostering the next generation of Georgia’s creative talent.”

This year commemorates 10 years of business for RE:IMAGINE. In May of this year, the nonprofit held a fundraising gala called Dreamfest to honor its many students and partners throughout the years, including WABE journalist Rose Scott, documentary filmmaker Deborah Riley Draper, Common Pictures Director Erin Bernhardt, RE:IMAGINE alumni and The Coca-Cola Company Associate Cinematographer Austen Taylor, and Dr. Jose Marquez and Yvette Moise Ricalde with the Georgia Latino Film Alliance.

“RE:IMAGINE equips tomorrow’s force of top quality, diverse storytellers by training untapped junior talent, collaborating and placing talent with brands and industry leaders, and showcasing the creative potential of the next generation,” said Julie Foster Straw, Executive Director of RE:IMAGINE, in the release. “This partnership with Discover Dunwoody will help us continue building an inclusive and equitable environment for emerging talent and reach more young leaders in storytelling.”
