The Atlanta-based Woodruff Arts Center announced the appointment of nine new members to its Board of Trustees during its Fall Board Meeting last week.

The new board trustees consist of Atlanta-area leaders that all come from diverse occupational backgrounds, joining already-established members representing a variety of sectors (business, nonprofit, etc.).

Among the new board members include Tara Baquero (managing director of BlackRock), Mary Beth Coke (executive vice president of Regions Bank), Kennedy Hicks (executive vice president of Cousins Properties), Mitch Reiner (managing partner of Capital Investment Advisors), David Roemer (chief executive officer of Ideas United), Natalie Rothman chief people officer of Inspire Brands), Evan Ruff (co-founder of OXOS Medical, Inc.), Regenia R. Sanders (Atlanta managing partner of EY) and Wendy K. Thomas (chief executive officer of Secureworks).

“We’re honored to have these distinguished individuals joining our Board of Trustees. Each of their perspectives will bring a unique form of support and guidance to the Woodruff Arts Center,” said Hala Moddelmog, Woodruff Arts Center president and chief executive officer.

“They join a group that provides tremendous value to our organization, and I’m honored to work alongside such bold leaders steadfast in amplifying the arts and arts education in our community.”

The Woodruff Arts Center — which is home to the Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art — established its Board of Trustees back in 1968.

Since its inception, the Atlanta arts center said that the board has “leveraged its extensive expertise to expand access to the Woodruff Arts Center’s proven educational programming,” as well as worked to ensure that “the Arts Center is a place for everyone to experience the transformative power of the arts.”
