MARTA is hosting over 30 public meetings in early 2025 to gather community feedback on its proposed NextGen Bus Network.

Currently in the “draft engagement” phase, the NextGen Bus Network is a major redesign of more than 100 bus routes in Atlanta, with the purpose of improving efficiency and connectivity.

The public input meetings will commence with an open house at MARTA headquarters on Saturday, Jan. 25, and concludes on Feb. 22 with a secondary open house at the same location.

Meetings will be held in various formats, including in-person and virtual sessions, with “lunch and learn” events scheduled throughout for midday participation.

During the first week of sessions, between Jan. 25 to Feb. 1, in-person meetings are slated to take place in the counties of DeKalb (Decatur Recreation Center and South DeKalb Senior Center), South Fulton (Welcome All Park) and North Fulton (Alpharetta City Hall and North Fulton Government Service Center).

“The NextGen Bus Network is a transformative initiative built on equity and inclusive community engagement, marking a pivotal step in modernizing our transit system to meet the region’s rapid growth and evolving travel needs,” said Collie Greenwood, MARTA general manager and CEO.

“We invite everyone to join the conversation. Your feedback—whether as a rider, resident, or stakeholder—will play a vital role in shaping and refining the NextGen Bus Network to better serve our communities throughout the Atlanta region.”

The full slate of meeting dates, along with an online survey (where residents can submit feedback through March 9), can be found on the MARTA website.
