You’ll perk right up for this tasty twist on an espresso martini from Il Premio.

This recipe comes from the Italian steakhouse’s Beverage Director Gordon Kelley. The ingredient that sets this espresso martini is limoncello, mixing a dash of citrus in with those familiar coffee flavors. Il Premio’s version of the cocktail also features rum instead of vodka or tequila.

Il Premio Espresso Martini Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 oz Bacardi 4 Yr Rum
  • 1 oz Espresso
  • 0.75 oz Mr. Black
  • 0.5 oz Caravella Limoncello

Directions:

  1. Add the Bacardi 4-Year Rum, Espresso, Mr. Black, and Caravella Limoncello to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds to chill the ingredients and achieve a smooth, frothy texture.
  3. Strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe glass.
  4. Garnish with a light sprinkle of crushed coffee beans on top for aromatic allure. Serve and enjoy!
