The public can ask questions and give feedback on proposed improvements in the Roswell Road North End Boulevard project during an open house held by the City of Sandy Springs on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
The open house takes place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Sandy Springs Middle School, at 8750 Pride Place.
Sandy Springs proposed the project to improve safety and mobility on Roswell Road, between Dunwoody Place and Roberts Drive. The city plans to install a new signalized intersection at Roswell Road and North River Parkway, a connector road between Roberts Drive and North River Parkway, pedestrian lighting, a multi-use path, and sidewalks.
The city has $2.28 million for the project from the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (T-SPLOST) program approved by voters in Sandy Springs and Fulton County in November 2021.
The Sandy Springs City Council authorized the Public Works Department at its Jan. 21 meeting to apply for a $9.12 million federal grant for construction and utility work for the project.
