Summerhill restaurant Little Bear just got a bit closer to your home with the launch of a subscription-based digital cookbook called Foodin’ with Fernando, featuring recipes from its Michelin-acclaimed chef and owner, Jarrett Stieber.
Speaking of Little Bear, on Feb. 26, the restaurant will host a fifth anniversary celebration, featuring cocktail pairings by guest bartender Bridgit Loeffelholz of Dampfwerk Distillery. Reservations, including bar seating, are available now on Resy.
Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport restaurant Chicken and Beer, owned by Atlanta rapper Ludacris, will pop up at One Flew South on the Eastside Beltline in March. The Chicken and Beer pop-up runs Friday, March 14, and Saturday, March 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Check out the menu and make reservations here.
Senate Bill 122 was introduced to the Senate Regulated Industries & Utilities Committee this week. If passed into law, SB122 would allow Georgia breweries to bypass distributors and sell up to 3,000 barrels of beer directly to restaurants, liquor stores, and other retail businesses. With small breweries across the state struggling to survive under the current three-tier distribution system, having the ability to legally sell directly to businesses without going through a wholesaler first could mean the difference between remaining open or closing for good.
Athens-based chef and Puma Yu’s co-owner Pete Amadhanirundr appeared on Food Network’s competition show, “Chopped,” on Tuesday. The “Thai Takedown!” themed episode also featured Dom Hetrakul, a Thai actor who will be featured in the upcoming season of “The White Lotus.” Give Puma Yu’s a follow for more details.
