Since its inception in 1980, The Atlanta Fair, across from Georgia State’s Center Parc Stadium, has brought the thrills and excitement of the midway to local residents

The city’s longest-running annual fair will return March 7 to April 13, marking the arrival of spring with outdoor entertainment, seasonal fun and community spirit.

Located at the corner of Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard and Central Avenue, the fair has been a favorite for residents and visitors alike.

This year’s fair will feature rides, family-friendly activities and a variety of food options, from classic fair favorites to locally inspired dishes.

Popular attractions include the Expo Wheel, Alien Abduction, Scooter Bumper Cars, Silver Streak, Himalaya, Nemesis 360, Zero Gravity, Orient Express, Time Warp, Sea Ray and Swings, as well as kiddie rides like Tea Cups, Up & Away, Scooby Doo Kiddie Train, Speedway, PuppyRoll, Motorcycle Jump, Toon Town Fun House and more.

Hours are Monday to Thursday from 5 to 10 p.m., Friday from 5 to 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 11 p.m.

Tickets are available at the gate beginning on March 7 at 5 p.m.

Fair entrance fees are $3 for guests under 42 inches tall and $5 for guests 42 inches tall and taller (except Friday to Sunday when admission is $10).

Midway ride tickets are $1.25 each or $25 for a book of 25.

Unlimited ride armbands are $35 each for a day (only valid on the day they are purchased).

There is a youth attendance policy: after 6 p.m. each day, no one under the age of 17 will be allowed admission without a parent.

Only clear bags will be allowed and must not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”. One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags and small clutch purses, no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” are also permitted.

Diaper bags and medically necessary items are allowed after proper inspection and tagging, with all bags being subject to search.

Large purses or clutch bags, backpacks, binocular cases, camera cases, cinch/drawstring bags, fanny packs, tinted or printed pattern plastic bags, oversize tote bags, mesh bags, briefcases, luggage of any kind and computer bags are not permitted.

No fair entry is allowed Sunday through Thursday after 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday after 10 p.m.
