The Decatur Book Festival (DBF) unveiled a brand refresh ahead of its 20th-anniversary event on Oct. 3-4.
“To usher in this new chapter, we needed a fresh, updated brand that would honor the Decatur Book Festival of today, a flourishing literary festival that is changing and evolving but still staying true to our original mission,” DBF President Mathwon R. Howard said in a statement “I’m astonished at how this vibrant new look so beautifully represents the future vision we have for the festival and how nicely it connects with the charm and ethos of our treasured city of Decatur.”
A new logomark designed by Sarah Sanders Creative in close collaboration with the DBF Board of Directors and staff will add a “bright aesthetic to merchandise, festival promotions, and marketing materials.”
The annual festival weekend will feature a wide range of activities, including author panel sessions, book signings, cooking demonstrations, live music, food, children’s activities, and exhibiting vendors from across the country.
The lineups of authors and events will be announced in the coming months, according to the press release.
