With the MLB (Major League Baseball) All-Star Game coming to Atlanta in July 2025, The Battery Atlanta announced that it will undergo several renovations to coincide with the major sporting event.
Among the additions planned for the 2.25 million square-foot mixed-use development — which is home to boutique shops, restaurants, entertainment experiences and more — include new LED screens that will display the big game, along with “Binbox Lockers” that will offer guests a place to store personal items that are not allowed inside Truist Park.
Other upgrades being made to The Battery are new seating arrangements, additional public restrooms, 75-inch interactive digital directories, as well as the installation of drink and landscaping rails.
Additionally, the mixed-use development plans on overhauling of the property’s walkways and seating, along with redesigning “the corner of Heritage Court and Battery Avenue” to create a gathering space for the community, according to a release.
“These enhancements reflect our unwavering commitment to ensuring that The Battery Atlanta remains one of the most dynamic, fan and community-centric destinations in the country,” said Jeremy Strife, executive vice president of Development with the Atlanta Braves.
“Our team continues to prioritize the needs and enjoyment of Braves Country, as well as our local neighbors, and we are excited to roll out these improvements that will enhance the overall experience for everyone who visits the property”
The Battery Atlanta said that it will remain open during the renovations, but adds that guests should anticipate “temporary walkway closures and minor disruptions” during the project — signage will be placed in visible spots to ensure safety for the public, according to the development.
