Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport announced Monday that it will increase parking rates on May 1 for the first time since 2017, in some cases tripling the cost.
A press release from the airport said the increases aligned with “current economic conditions” and a long-term investment for new and upgraded parking facilities.
Hourly parking will increase from $3 per hour to $10, while daily rates in decks next to the domestic terminals will rise from $19 to $30 per day. Even economy parking won’t be a bargain, with the daily rate increasing from $14 to $20 per day.
International travelers may want to consider MARTA or ridesharing after daily parking at the international deck increases to $100 per day.
The domestic park and ride lots will see a $5 increase to $15 per day, while international will increase from $14 to $30.
The press release said the airport has seen significant increases in parking-related operational costs and has taken on new debt to construct and modernize parking infrastructure. “Annual debt service alone is projected to reach $25.5 million in fiscal year 2025 and increase substantially over the coming decade,” the release said.
“Adjusting parking rates is a necessary step to ensure ATL continues delivering a safe, convenient and reliable experience for travelers,” Airport General Manager Ricky Smith said in a statement. “This change allows us to invest in infrastructure that supports our efforts to enhance the customers’ experience while remaining competitive with comparable airports and private off-site parking providers.”

$10 per hour
$50 max on Day 1 – $75 daily flat rate thereafter
International Hourly Deck
$10 for the first hour
$15 per hour thereafter
$70 max on Day 1 – $100 daily flat rate thereafter
South/North Daily Decks

South/North Economy Lots
$20 daily flat rate
ATL West Deck
$10 per hour
$30 max per day
