
The Human Rights Campaign Atlanta annual dinner will be held Saturday, May 3, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis.
The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with a reception and the dinner and stage program at 6:30 p.m.
Charles M. Blow –author, journalist, cultural critic, and political commentator – will receive the Equality Award during the event.
Dr. Elijah Nicholas, National Director of Policy & Strategy for the National Trans Visibility March, will receive the Leon Allen and Winston Johnson Community Leadership Award.
Bishop Oliver Clyde Allen Ill will receive the Dan Bradley Humanitarian Award. Allen is a religious trailblazer, human rights advocate, author, and founder of one of the largest Black affirming congregations in the U.S., The Vision Cathedral of Atlanta and Presiding Bishop of the United Progressive Pentecostal Church, an LGBTQ affirming religious organization.
“American Idol” star Kimberley Locke will perform during the event, while HRC Vice President of Strategic Outreach and Engagement Shenika “Nik” Harris will also speak during the dinner.
