Sunny evenings and toe-tapping tunes are making their way back to Chamblee as the city has announced the return of its annual Chamblee Rocks Summer Concert Series.
Taking place throughout the summer months (June to August), the free event series features an eclectic mix of live music, food trucks and family-friendly activities.
This year’s music lineup features a wide-array of genres and celebrations, “offering something for everyone to enjoy under the summer sky,” said the City of Chamblee.
The series kicks off on June 13 with a special Juneteenth celebration, featuring performances from the Ray Howard Band (Motown and R&B group) and the No Diggity Band (90’s and 00’s hip hop and R&B tribute band).
Following the Juneteenth event, the series continues on the Fourth of July with a jam-packed evening of music from country artist Rocco, Soul Cartel Band, and G Clef & the Playlist.
After the concert, the patriotic event will further commemorate the country’s day of independence with a dazzling fireworks show later in the evening.
Closing out the Chamblee Rocks Summer Concert Series is Uptown Funk: Tribute to Bruno Mars, an energetic band renowned for their ability to capture the essence of the “Uptown Funk” hitmaker.
All three concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. and are held on the greenspace at Chamblee City Hall. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets to the event. VIP Tables are also available.
