The Center for Puppetry Arts announced that it is lowering children’s ticket prices beginning in June.

According to the puppetry nonprofit, it decided to make this move to “keep the arts accessible for families during a time of rising costs.”

The change coincides with the launch of its 2025–2026 season (running from summer 2025 through spring 2026), which features a wide range of shows that offer something for everyone.

The Center’s Family Series, which showcases performances suitable for all ages, kicks off with the return of Harold and the Purple Crayon, an award-winning adaptation of the classic children’s book by Crockett Johnson.

Other highlights of the Family Series include Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type; Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer; T-Rex Took My Toothbrush (recipient of a Jim Henson Foundation grant); along with the world premieres of Spookhouse Annie (described as a “spooky-silly romp perfect for all ages”) and The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairly Stupid Tales (a “zany” retelling of classic folktales).

Alternatively, the Center for Puppetry Arts has an assortment of puppet productions geared towards adults, including Unraveling from Shadow Girls Cult of Seattle, Washington; The Tales of Edgar Allan Poe (Suzi Bass Award winner for costume design); the Halloween fan-favorite The Ghastly Dreadfuls and more.

The Center’s museum also has a number of special exhibitions planned for the upcoming season, such as Affectionate Anarchy: Creating with Jim Henson (behind-the-scenes look at the creative partnerships that were integral to the Muppet creator’s success), Festive Features (celebration of puppetry’s most iconic seasonal characters) and Frame by Frame: The Art of Stop-Motion Puppetry, to name a few.

All admission to the Center’s Family Series and adult performances include access to the Worlds of Puppetry Museum, special exhibitions and free onsite parking.

Additionally, every Family Series performance ticket includes admission to the Center’s Create-A-Puppet Workshop, which gives children the opportunity to construct their own unique puppet and perform with it.
