On Saturday, June 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m, Atlanta Beltline will partner once again with V-103 DJ Big Tigger and his Big Tigger Foundation to present the 3rd annual Big Tigger’s Beltline BikeFest.

The family-friendly event will take place, for the first time, along the Beltline’s Southwest Trail. Tigger and his celebrity friends will lead participants on a 3- to 5-mile community ride beginning and ending at Lee + White in West End. Participation is free, but registration is required.

As part of the event, the Big Tigger Foundation will continue its tradition of donating more than 200 bikes and helmets to students from neighboring communities and schools.

After the ride, attendees are invited to enjoy a free festival including live music, DJ sets, local food vendors, health screenings, kids’ activities, and bike safety lessons.

Big Tigger reached out to the Beltline with the idea for BikeFest in 2021 after rediscovering a love for biking during the pandemic. The event officially launched in 2023 and has since grown into a celebration of culture, wellness, and youth empowerment, according to a press release from Atlanta Betlline Inc.

“BikeFest is more than just a bike ride or giveaway. It’s a celebration of community, culture and connection,” Tigger said in the release. “Each year, it’s incredibly heartwarming to see the joy on kids’ faces as they ride their bikes. I’m honored to pour into the next generation, especially right before summer break when they need safe, healthy ways to stay engaged.”

Beltline officials are encouraging participants to bike to the event or take MARTA to the West End station, which is 0.7 miles away.
