Discover Dunwoody and Passion Soccer Academy will partner for June 22’s “Viva la Copa” at Ashford Lane Lawn in Dunwoody from noon to 11:00 p.m.

According to an announcement, the partnership will focus on soccer programming, tourism initiatives, and youth development programs in the region. Passion Soccer Academy operates as a nonprofit organization serving Hispanic youth through soccer-based programming.

The free June 22 event will include FIFA’s Club World Cup viewing on large screens, games, food and beverage vendors, live music, and local soccer player appearances. Create Dunwoody, the Consulate General of Argentina in Atlanta, and Ashford Lane are partnering organizations for the event, the release said.

“The collaboration between Discover Dunwoody and Passion Soccer Academy will expand soccer programming and youth empowerment initiatives,” the announcement said. “Passion Soccer Academy uses Argentine soccer training methods in its programs and operates under inspiration from Pope Francis’s teachings.”

“We are incredibly excited to see the tremendous impact that Passion Soccer and Jose Alamanaz are making on young lives throughout Atlanta,” said Ray Ezelle, CEO and President of Discover Dunwoody. “Their dedication to empowering youth through soccer is truly inspiring, and we are absolutely thrilled to support this important work in our community.”
