The City of Atlanta announced that Showcase Atlanta — a city-owned, public-private nonprofit initiative that aims to uplift the area’s diverse business community — has launched its new digital “Vendor Directory.”

According to the city, the directory was created as a way to connect local businesses to economic opportunities that are tied to major events, including the FIFA World Cup, Super Bowl LXII, major concerts and more.

Through the directory, local event planners and organizers can reach out to Atlanta-area businesses, inquiring about their services several months or years in advance to the specific event.

Additionally, the city is also encouraging metro-area residents to use the directory year-round for their own private and community events.

The Showcase Atlanta initiative and its directory are part of the Dickens Administration’s mission to instill a “resilient and thriving legacy and small business community” in Atlanta, according to a release.

“The Showcase Atlanta Vendor Directory is designed to provide equitable access to the economic opportunities that come with large-scale events,” said Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens. “With this program, our goal is to ensure our small businesses are not just spectators to the nation’s and world’s biggest events — they are direct participants.”

The Vendor Directory is free and open to all local businesses and entrepreneurs interested in providing services to large-scale events, said the City of Atlanta.
