Mental health nonprofit CHRIS 180 raised over $800,000 at its annual fundraiser event, The CHRIStal Ball, which was recently held at Flourish Atlanta.

More than 520 people attended the event — including community members, sponsors and various partners — in support of the Atlanta-based organization’s work.

Founded in 1981, CHRIS 180 provides therapy, counseling and school-based mental health services in over 80 schools throughout the metro Atlanta area. Additionally, the nonprofit also operates foster care and adoption programs, housing initiatives and independent living support for young adults.

During its four decade-span of existence, CHRIS 180 estimates that it has served more than 250,000 children, adults and families locally.

“We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported The CHRIStal Ball this year,” said Cati Diamond Stone, president and chief executive officer of CHRIS 180. “The generosity of our sponsors, partners and community makes it possible for CHRIS 180 to continue providing life-changing services that heal children, strengthen families and build community.”

This year’s CHRIStal Ball recognized Delta Air Lines, a sponsor since the fundraiser began 25 years ago, and Ann Cramer, a longtime civic leader who helped establish CHRIS 180.

Cramer was honored at the very first CHRIStal Ball and was recognized again this year for her “decades of leadership and dedication,” said CHRIS 180.
