The Works in Atlanta’s Upper Westside is set to host its fifth annual PUPFEST on Sept. 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The dog-friendly festival will feature live music, cooling stations, giveaways, photo ops, a scavenger hunt and a variety of canine-centric vendors including Wag-a-Lot, Olive & Co Pet Care and Wagboards.
For the occasion, participating restaurants in the area will be offering numerous drink specials and pup-themed cocktails for attendees.
The theme of this year’s event is “Woofstock” — in reference to the famous music festival Woodstock, which took place in 1969 — and guests are encouraged to dress themselves and their pets in retro-inspired attire like tie-dye clothing and flower crowns, to name a few.
Proceeds from the event will go towards the Atlanta Humane Society, supporting the organization’s mission of improving animal welfare in the southeastern United States.
Following PUPFEST, there will be an after-party at Fetch Park that event-goers and their four-legged friends can attend (all dogs must be up to date on vaccinations to enter the dog park).
Tickets for PUPFEST are $16 and can be purchased online at The Works website.
