There have been 168 deaths, including five children, and over 5,000 hospitalizations from flu in Georgia since last October, according to Department of Public Health data. The number of deaths this year is much higher than the past two years – 61 deaths last year and 53 the year before.

Annual Taste of Tucker event returns, supporting local charities
🥧 Taste of Tucker returns this Saturday from 1 p.m.-6 p.m. on Main Street, between the railroad tracks and LaVista Road. The event will celebrate its 16th year with a smorgasbord of cuisine, activities for the whole family, and a mission to raise funds for two local charities.
Curated by Tucker couple Art and Karen Wood, last year’s Taste of Tucker attracted nearly 7,000 people to downtown, raising more than $45,000 for NETWorks Cooperative Ministry and Camp Kudzu, which supports children with Type 1 diabetes. The Woods hope to draw even more attendees and dollars at this year’s event for the same charities.
