Atlanta Streets Alive will close out the year on Sunday, Oct. 26, from 2-5 p.m. on a route connecting West End and Grant Park.
The Atlanta Department of Transportation, with support from Propel ATL, invites everyone to join in the celebration of community, movement, and joy on car-free streets, sponsored by Apollo Associates Realty.
This 3.4-mile route along Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard and Georgia Avenue will be closed to vehicles, so participants can walk, bike, roll, scoot, or enjoy music and activities along the route.
Music in the Park will be curating live performances along the corridor/ Eight unique venues including The Wren’s Nest, Pearl Center, Shrine of the Black Madonna, and more will host local performers from local jazz to R&B, brass bands to soulful singer-songwriters. Music in the Park will close out the route in the West End at 5:30 pm with a parade featuring Kebbi Williams & The Wolfpack, local high school drumlines, and musicians from throughout the event’s performances.
As always, the event is free and open to everyone. Dogs on leashes, strollers, e-scooters, and bikes are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to take MARTA, bike, or walk to the route.
