The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (ASO) announced that it will be debuting multiple family-friendly shows to kick-off the opening of its brand new performance space, the Goizueta Stage for Youth and Families, in the new year.

The shows, which are part of the symphony’s new “Music for the Very Young Concert Series,” pair ASO musicians with professional actors to bring fables and fairy tales to life through 45-minute performances that encourage kids in-attendance to interact with the performers.

The first production, Carnival of the Animals, will begin in January 2026 with eight performances that run through Feb. 1.

Based on Camille Saint-Saëns’ humorous musical suite, ASO’s interpretation of Carnival will engage and entertain audiences by showcasing a fun-filled parade of animals such as ferocious lions, graceful swans, bouncy kangaroos and more.

In the spring, the series continues with The Tin Man’s Oz, running April 11–19, 2026. This new adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s work follows the titular metallic character and his journey to the Emerald City, told through musical storytelling.

Each concert will feature pre-show activities, including face painting, arts and crafts, a photo booth and an “instrument exploration” station where children can check out various music instruments.

Tickets are currently available on the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra website. Admission is free for children under seven and $15 for ages eight and up.
