Beyond Juicery + Eatery
1927 Peachtree Road, Buckhead

Beyond Juicery + Eatery opened near Piedmont Hospital on Peachtree.

Luella
3717 Roswell Road, Buckhead

Buckhead gained another steakhouse with the opening of Luella in the former Ivy space. Owned by Revival Restaurant Group, the same group behind The Ivy and Family Dog in Atlanta, and Little Betty in Birmingham, the steakhouse is named for the owners’ daughters. Check out the menu here. 

Perfect Seasoning
1375 Peachtree St., Midtown

Jamaican restaurant stall Perfect Seasoning opened at the Peacherie, the new micro food hall in Midtown. This is the second location for Dalisha Williams, who opened Perfect Seasoning at Chattahoochee Food Works last year. 

Haraz Coffee
930 Spring St., Midtown

A location of Yemeni coffee shop Haraz is now open on Spring Street. 

Spiller Park Coffee
999 Peachtree St., Midtown

The Midtown location of Spiller Park Coffee opened at 999 Peachtree, the same building as Michelin-starred Lazy Betty. The new location serves coffee, toasts, and bagels. 

The Westwood
1529 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd, Westview

Neighborhood bar The Westwood opened in Westview for food, drinks, and pool. Check out the food menu here and drinks menu here

Lewis Barbecue
Ansley Mall, 1544 Piedmont Ave., Piedmont Heights

The much-anticipated Atlanta location of Lewis Barbecue will officially open at Ansley Mall on Dec. 8.

The Local Tavern
2149 Briarcliff Road, North Druid Hills

The Local Tavern is now open at the Briar Vista Shopping Center in North Druid Hills. The neighborhood bar and restaurant is owned by the team behind Local on North in Duluth. 

Hotel Phoenix Restaurants 
70 Centennial Olympic Park Dr., South Downtown

Hotel Phoenix opened at Centennial Yards in South Downtown and includes all-day French-Southern restaurant Zephyr with a cocktail bar called Bar Z.

Close Company
505 N. Angier Ave., Old Fourth Ward

Close Company, the Eastside Beltline cocktail bar from Death & Co., opened on the plaza Level of Tower 2 at the New City development along Angier Avenue.

Azara
550 Somerset Ter., Old Fourth Ward

Azara, a new physician-founded restaurant inspired by regions where people often live well beyond 90 years old, is now open. The restaurant took over the former Estrella Rooftop and Bazati spaces between New Realm Brewery and Illuminarium on the Eastside Beltline. Owned by Dr. Raj Pandya, Azara features nutrient-rich dishes and includes three dining spaces: a bistro and coffee bar; a full-service restaurant; and a rooftop patio. 

Bar Ana
939 Ponce De Leon Ave., Poncey-Highland

Dessert and cocktail bar Bar Ana debuted in Poncey-Highland. Backed by award-winning pastry chef Claudia Martinez and Artie De Los Santos, Bar Ana acts as a coffee shop run by Ivan Solis of Recuerdos Cafe by day, transforming into a cocktail bar serving sophisticated desserts by night.

Bao Gogo
982 Memorial Dr., Reynoldstown

Bao Gogo opened on Memorial Drive in Reynoldstown, across from HomeGrown. The Chinese restaurant chain, which includes locations in Alpharetta and Buckhead, serves everything from bao and dumplings to dishes like dan dan noodles, General Tso’s chicken, and mapo tofu.

Raani Coffee
720 Moreland Ave., East Atlanta

Raani Coffee opened in the former Hodgepodge Coffeehouse space on Moreland Avenue in East Atlanta. Owned by Praveena Sundarraj, Raani includes a roastery and tasting room and serves pastries.

Cremalosa
70 N. Avondale Road, Avondale Estates

Gelato shop Cremalosa, owned by former AJC dining critic Meridith Ford, reopened in its new location at the Dale in Avondale Estates on East College Avenue.

Lazy Dog
4532 Ashford Dunwoody Road, Dunwoody

Lazy Dog Restaurant reopened after temporarily closing due to a kitchen fire a few weeks ago.

Whataburger
3550 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta

Whataburger opened in Marietta. The Sandy Plains Road location is open 24/7, includes a double drive-thru, and serves breakfast from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m.

Portillo’s 
790 Cobb Pl. Blvd, Kennesaw

Chicago-style hot dog chain Portillo’s opened in Kennesaw. This is the first restaurant in Georgia. Plans are also in motion for a possible second location in Dunwoody.

Einstein Bros. Bagels
310 Lanier Cir., Woodstock

A location of Einstein Bros. Bagels opened on Lanier Circle in Woodstock.

Barrel Proof
Westside Provisions District, Howell Mill Road

Barrel Proof, a New Orleans-based cocktail and whiskey bar, will open in December at Westside Provisions District. The bar takes over the former Little Trouble space beneath Ford Fry’s Marcel. Owners Liam Deegan and Robert LeBlanc first opened Barrel Proof in 2013 in the Garden District of New Orleans. In 2023, they expanded Barrel Proof to Nashville. Atlanta becomes the third location of the critically acclaimed bar. 

Wok Chi Asian Kitchen
460 North Ave., Old Fourth Ward

It appears a location of Wok Chi Asian Kitchen will open in the old Pizza Hut at Boulevard and North Avenue on the edge of the Old Fourth Ward. 

Khao Thai Isan
250 Martin Luther King Jr. Dr., South Downtown

The owners behind 26 Thai, Pink Lotus, and Blackjack Bar will open Khao Thai Isan next year at The Mitchell in South Downtown. Part of the Centennial Yards development, expect Isan Thai street food and sharable small plates at Khao Thai. 

Pink Lotus
126 North Main St., Alpharetta

A second location of Pink Lotus Thai restaurant will open next summer on North Main Street in downtown Alpharetta. Backed by the owners of 26 Thai Kitchen, Pink Lotus first opened on Brady Avenue on Atlanta’s west side earlier this year.
