DeKalb County School District recently announced the appointment of three new principals.
DCSD has appointed Brad Daniell as principal of Kittredge Magnet School for High Achievers, which is located in the Druid Hills area. Karniese Daniel is now leading Robert Shaw Elementary Theme School in Scottdale. Amy Heutel will now take the helm at Peachtree Middle School in Dunwoody.
Each new leader has exhibited a commitment to student achievement, equity, and instructional leadership in their previous roles, according to a DCSD statement.
“These three leaders represent the very best of our profession, and I am confident they will continue the mission of strengthening our schools, inspiring both students and staff, and moving our district forward,” Norman C. Sauce, DeKalb County Schools interim superintendent, said in a statement. “Their leadership, experience, and dedication to students will provide stability and fresh momentum for our schools, and I am grateful for their willingness to step in and lead with purpose at such a pivotal time.”
