Mayor Andre Dickens and members of the Atlanta City Council will be sworn in during an inauguration ceremony on Monday, Jan. 5, starting at 1 p.m.

The ceremony will take place at Georgia State University’s Convocation Hall, 455 Capitiol Ave. SE.

The inauguration officially begins Dickens’ second term as mayor, as well as welcoming new and returning members of the city council, and incoming council president, Marci Collier Overstreet.

The Atlanta City Council will hold an organizational meeting starting at 4 p.m. at city hall following the ceremony. The meeting will include an announcement of committee chairpersons and appointments.

A reception in the city hall atrium will run from 4 to 6 p.m., giving the public an opportunity to meet their elected representatives and tour the council suite.
