The 63rd Annual Wild Hog Supper will bring together Georgia’s political leaders, agricultural industry representatives, and community members on Sunday, January 11, at the Georgia Railroad Freight Depot in Atlanta. The event, which marks the unofficial start of the Georgia General Assembly’s legislative session, will raise funds for Feeding Georgia’s Farm to Food Bank program.

Six-decade tradition continues
Established in 1962, the Wild Hog Supper has served as a traditional gathering point for legislators, lobbyists, and local officials at the beginning of each legislative session. Since 2012, Feeding Georgia has organized the event, transforming it into both a celebration of the state’s agricultural heritage and a fundraiser for hunger relief efforts across Georgia.

The event will feature Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper as co-host alongside House Agriculture Committee Chair Representative Robert Dickey and Senate Agriculture Committee Chair Senator Russ Goodman. Governor Brian Kemp, Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, and members of the General Assembly are expected to attend.
Supporting Georgia’s Farm to Food Bank Program
Proceeds from the supper will benefit Feeding Georgia’s Farm to Food Bank program, which connects fresh produce from Georgia farmers directly to families experiencing food insecurity. In 2024, Georgia farmers donated more than 32 million pounds of fresh produce through the program.
Feeding Georgia operates through a network of seven regional food banks that work with more than 2,000 pantries statewide. The organization distributes food to 156,500 individuals each week, totaling more than 130 million pounds of food annually.
