Restaurant Openings

Luella
Buckhead

Buckhead gained another steakhouse in December with the opening of Luella in the former Ivy space. Owned by Revival Restaurant Group, the same group behind The Ivy and Family Dog in Atlanta, and Little Betty in Birmingham, the name “Luella” references the owners’ daughters. Check out the menu here

A location of Yemeni coffee shop Haraz is now open on Spring Street in Midtown.

The Westwood

Several restaurant stalls at Terminal South food hall Switchman Hall opened in December, including Ruki’s Kitchen, Gangster Ramen, Perfect Seasoning, Jase’s Lemonade, Tiger K Hibachi, The Cream Bubble Lab, and K Chicken Factory. Follow on Instagram for more stall openings.

Trattoria Lucia

The owners of Vesper in Glenwood Park opened Italian restaurant Trattoria Lucia in the neighborhood. Trattoria Lucia resides across the street from Vesper in the same building block as Jeni’s Ice Cream.

Mellow Mushroom
Decatur

Five months after closing, the Decatur location of Mellow Mushroom reopened (and with a new look). The West Ponce pizzeria received a much-needed exterior and interior refresh, a dedicated to-go entrance and pick-up area, and a revamped patio and bar. Expect a few new items on the menu in Decatur, including salads and cocktails.

Whataburger
Marietta

A location of Whataburger opened on Sandy Plains Road in Marietta. This location is open 24/7, includes a double drive-thru, and serves breakfast from 11 p.m. to 11 a.m.

Siena
Alpharetta

Mediterranean-Italian restaurant Siena opened in Alpharetta, taking over the former Gormania and Seven Seas Mediterranean Café spaces on Devore Road. The menu features dishes like sweet potato falafel, harissa chicken lollipops, and honey-lavender lamb chops. A children’s menu is also available, and brunch will begin this winter.

Duff Deli + Market
Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Concourse C

Celebrity pastry chef and TV personality Duff Goldman opened Duff Deli + Market on Concourse C at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Look for egg sandwiches, deli classics like hot pastrami and matzo ball soup, and baked goods such as Duff’s black and white cookies.

Coming Attractions

Khao Thai Isan
Centennial Yards, South Downtown

The owners behind 26 Thai, Pink Lotus, and Blackjack Bar will open Khao Thai Isan next year at The Mitchell in South Downtown. Part of the Centennial Yards development, expect Isan Thai street food and sharable small plates at Khao Thai.

Omma
Westside Paper

The team behind MidCity cocktail bar in Midtown will open Omma this year at Westside Paper. Leaning more towards a restaurant rather than a cocktail bar, look for Omma to feature an expanded drinks menu from that of MidCity and serve “internationally inspired food.” Omma joins Dumpling Factory, El Santo Gallo, and Pancake Social at the complex.

More coming attractions:
• A European-inspired cafe for remote workers replacing JavaVino
• Restaurant at Dunwoody’s Vino Venue closing, wine tastings, classes continue
• Kinship owners taking over Farm Burger space in Virginia-Highland
