Yumbii, the Korean-Mexican fusion restaurant, owned by Carson and Katy Young, is for sale. The sale also includes Yumbii’s food truck and catering business.

According to a listing by real estate company the Shumacher Group, the food truck, catering business, and all three Yumbii locations in Midtown, Toco Hills, and on the Westside are available for purchase. Yumbii’s restaurants, catering business, and food truck, however, are available to purchase individually.

Steven Josovitz of the Shumacher Group said the Youngs initiated the sale for personal reasons. “It was time to sell the businesses to focus on other parts of their life,” he said, adding that the listing has already generated interest.

Yumbii’s locations in Buckhead and at Avalon in Alpharetta both closed in 2024. Josovitz sold the Avalon location to Pru Thai Kitchen. “COVID hit them hard with the Alpharetta and Buckhead stores, and those were the two stores that they disposed of,” Josovitz said. “[The three remaining locations] kind of ran themselves.”

Carson Young founded Yumbii as a food truck in 2012, opening the first restaurant location in Brookwood Hills four years later. More locations followed, including in Toco Hills, the Westside, and Midtown.

Last spring, Yumbii was featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives,” hosted by Guy Fieri.

The Youngs have not responded to Rough Draft’s requests for further comment on the Yumbii sale.
