The City Springs Theatre Company will host its second annual Encore Gala on Feb. 12 at the Coca-Cola Roxy.
The gala is a benefit for the City Springs Theatre Company, which was founded in 2017, with proceeds from the event going toward the company’s theater education programs, according to a press release. The theater company is expected to announce its ninth season of musicals during the event.
During the gala, City Springs Theatre Company Artistic Director Shuler Hensley will lead a company of performers, celebrating past City Springs performances. Haden Rider, Nick Walker Jones, JD Myers, and Alec Beard — last seen together in City Springs’ production of “Jersey Boys” — will also perform. Other musical guests include Courtenay Collins, Kristine Reese, and Billy Tighe.
Diners can expect to watch musical numbers from shows such as “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical,” “42nd Street,” “Hairspray,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “West Side Story,” and “Mamma Mia!” Students from the City Springs Theatre Company’s Conservatory will also perform. The evening will be hosted by Paul Milliken of Fox 5.
Tickets for the gala also include an open bar cocktail hour and dinner. Formal attire is encouraged, according to the release.
