Steak and Grace, which opened to great fanfare less than a year ago in the heart of Dunwoody Village, has abruptly closed its doors.

The Aha! Connection first reported the closure when Audra Anders, who runs the page, Googled to make a reservation and saw that it had closed.

A message on the restaurant’s answering machine said the restaurant is permanently closed and under new management, with plans to open a new concept in April. The website is no longer in existence, stating that the domain has not been claimed.

Barry Mills, a longtime Atlanta restaurateur who is known for establishing local eateries like FLIP Burger Boutique, HD1, and Big B’s Fish Joint, was behind the opening of the affordable steakhouse.

Mills’ aim with Steak and Grace was to “flip the script on the traditional steakhouse experience” by combining premium-grade food and service with “a more approachable atmosphere.”

“Our goal is for guests to experience elements of fine dining while still feeling relaxed,” Mills said before the restaurant opened in mid-March of 2025. “Above all, Steak and Grace is a neighborhood gathering place. We want diners to feel welcome and confident that they can get a high-quality meal and a more diverse selection of dishes than what is generally found at a traditional steakhouse.”

Steak and Grace recently expanded to offer lunch service and weekend brunch.

This is a developing story. Rough Draft’s dining team will have more details about the closing and new owners.
