The Forth Hotel in the Old Fourth Ward is now under new management. Davidson Hospitality Group took over hotel and restaurant operations from Philadelphia-based Method Co. earlier this month.

Developer New City Properties tapped Pivot, the lifestyle arm of Davidson Hospitality Group, to manage Forth Hotel, along with Bar Premio, Italian steakhouse Il Premio, Mediterranean restaurant Elektra, rooftop lounge Moonlight, and the hotel’s members-only social club.

The 196-room hotel also features 39 apartment-style, extended-stay rooms, an outdoor pool, and a 20,000 square-foot fitness center with classes and wellness options.

Thom Geshay, CEO and President of Davidson Hospitality Group, called the collaboration with New City Properties “a privilege.”

“Leveraging the notoriety of the neighborhood to foster a sense of place combined with the truly standout design and amenities from elevated dining to the city’s premiere social club, we look forward to delivering warm, heartfelt hospitality, where guests can immerse themselves in the best of what Atlanta has to offer,” Geshay said in a press release.

Geshay did not state whether the Pivot team planned to make changes, if any, to Forth Hotel or its restaurants.

“Pivot’s experience as an independent hotelier combined with their passion, acumen and local knowledge will undoubtedly result in exemplary experiences for our members and guests,” Jim Irwin, President of New City Properties said in a prepared statement.

Developed by Irwin, the $150 million Forth Hotel was the first hotel in Atlanta with direct access to the Beltline when it opened in 2024. The hotel, part of the New City development on the Beltline, sits steps from 3 Parks Wine Shop and restaurants like TWO Urban Licks, Burle’s Bar, New Realm Brewing, and Buena Vida Tapas and Soul. It is also within a few minutes walk of Ponce City Market and Krog Street Market via the Beltline.

Later this year, the team behind Lucian Books & Wine in Buckhead will open wine-focused restaurant Sargent across from Forth Hotel. It joins new additions to the development, including Big Softie ice cream shop and cocktail bar Close Company, backed by the owners of New York-based Death and Co.
