Sandy Springs is launching the 2026 Transportation Master Plan process and inviting community members to help shape the future of local travel around the city.

A series of listening sessions in February provides opportunities for the public to learn more about the TMP and share input on traffic congestion, transportation, and potential projects that support walking, cycling, and transit, as well as safety.

The city says public input will help prioritize projects for the 2026 Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) referendum, its largest source of project funding.

Public engagement began in the fall of 2025 with a survey to gather initial, high-level feedback on transportation goals, current methods of travel, challenges, and potential solutions. Community engagement will continue through the summer of 2026.

The 2026 Transportation Master Plan will identify transportation across Sandy Springs and develop a program of projects and strategies intended to improve the safety and operation of the transportation system.

The plan builds upon the city’s existing transportation master plan, which was adopted in 2021. For more information, visit spr.gs/tmp.
