Chit Chat Communications, in collaboration with the City of Brookhaven and the Office of the DeKalb County CEO, will present its 15th Annual Women’s History Month Celebration, themed “Celebrating Women of Color… DeKalb Women Speak: An Inclusive Sisterhood.”

The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, at Brookhaven City Centre in Brookhaven, according to a press release from Chit Chat Communications.

The experience will convene women leaders, elected officials, entrepreneurs, and community members for a day of wellness, empowerment, leadership dialogue, and connection.

“This year’s celebration continues that legacy with a dynamic, experience-driven program designed to elevate voices, foster sisterhood, and strengthen community impact,” said Carla Morrison, CEO of Chit Chat Communications.

A brunch will open with a special musical presentation by acclaimed violinist Kim Strings, and include a panel discussion entitled “Sister Mayors Brunch & Discussion,” featuring City of Lithonia Mayor Shameka Reynolds, City of Clarkston Mayor Beverly Burks, City of Dunwoody Mayor Lynn Deutsch, and City of Riverdale Mayor Evelyn Wynn Dixon. DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran-Johnson will moderate the discussion.

“This is an inclusive sisterhood,” Morrison said. “We are intentionally creating space for women leaders across counties to share lived experiences, leadership strategies, and the realities of public service.”

From 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m., the celebration shifts into Brunch Fun & Community Engagement, featuring music, line dancing, interactive games, prizes, and connection.

The day concludes with an afternoon empowerment workshop from 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m., designed to equip attendees with tools, motivation, and strategies to thrive personally, professionally, and civically, the release said.

The event is open to the public. Tickets are $75 per person, and advance registration is encouraged at www.ChitChatCommunications.biz.
