Atlanta will be celebrating all things science when the Atlanta Science Festival returns to the city in March.
All ages are invited to experience around 150 interactive and educational events across 80 metro Atlanta venues.
“You can stroll with bats, discover backyard critters, explore hydroponics, tour cemeteries, plug into the physics of rock ‘n’ roll, cook up chemistry in the kitchen, experience science-centric storytelling, and more,” say organizers in a news release.
The festival kicks off on March 7 at Georgia Tech where scientists, engineers, and students will share interactive activities on neuroscience, aerospace engineering, robotics, and an array of other topics.
It all culminates with the Exploration Expo, a giant science bash in Piedmont Park, featuring 100 hands-on, interactive science booths from local organizations, universities, and companies.
“Our two-week celebration invites everyone, no matter who you are, to get up close and personal with science in ways you may not have imagined,” said Meisa Salaita, executive co-director of Science ATL–the engineers of the Atlanta Science Festival.
“We aim to broaden horizons, provide education, fuel imagination, and ignite a passion for the scientific minds of the future.”
The Atlanta Science Festival runs from March 7 to 21.
