One of the most beloved operas of all time is coming to the Atlanta stage in March.

W.A. Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro features a sharp comedic plot, unfolding over a single, eventful day as servant Figaro fights to marry his true love.

Atlanta Opera’s General and Artistic Director, Tomer Zvulun, expects the production –  directed by Stephen Lawless and conducted by Christoper Allen – to captivate audiences.

“Mozart’s brilliant music and the fast‑paced comedy in this masterpiece have led many to call it the ‘perfect opera.’ We are excited to bring this work back to Atlanta after more than a decade of absence,” said Zvulun in a news release.

There will be four performances of The Marriage of Figaro on March 14, 17, 20, and 22 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

In addition, the March 20 performance will be livestreamed for free with email registration. The opera will be sung in Italian with English supertitles.
