Crescent Communities has closed on its purchase of a 13-acre site near Northlake Mall that will be transformed into RENDER Tucker, an expansive residential community and walking trail.
The real estate investor, developer, and operator of mixed-use communities across metro Atlanta and the United States announced the $12.5 million acquisition of the Tucker Exchange office building in early February.

The multi-family development will feature 312 apartments near the heart of historic downtown Tucker, according to a release from the developer. The community will include multiple residential buildings, curated amenities, and a walking trail connection to the proposed Tucker-Northlake trail.
“RENDER Tucker will provide a thoughtful, character-rich community that feels both connected and calm, designed to offer a lifestyle residents can settle into and enjoy,” said Eric Liebendorfer, managing director of development for Georgia at Crescent Communities
Designed for quiet, outdoor living
The four-story, suburban community will be designed with an emphasis on outdoor living, social connection, and walkability, with features such as meandering paths, hammock zones, swings, and art space, creating quieter options for residents near the community’s main amenities. Amenities such as a pool, a fireplace and fire pit, a dog park, grills, and a community garden will also ensure leisure activities are baked into the design.

In addition to the amenities inside the apartment community, residents will have easy access to nearby retail and dining, including Tucker Brewing Company and Northlake Mall.
“Tucker is emerging as a smart and increasingly compelling choice for renters, offering affordability relative to nearby submarkets, access to major employment corridors, and proximity to some of metro Atlanta’s most loved outdoor destinations,” Liebendorfer said in the release.
Chuo Nittochi Group is serving as the equity partner on the project, and Santander Bank is the lender. Additional partners include Focus Design Interiors, architect Hensley Lamkin Rachel, civil engineer Kimley-Horn, and landscape architect MSD.
Construction is slated to begin on RENDER Tucker in coming weeks, the release said. Units will be available by late summer 2027.
