Downtown Atlanta is getting a new hotel ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup matches.

The JW Marriott Atlanta Downtown will open in the former W Atlanta Downtown spae after an extensive renovation, according to a press release.

Operated by Denver-based Stonebridge Companies, the 237-room property will mark the U.S. debut of JW Marriott’s Mindful Floor,  24 “wellness-focused rooms” designed with calming neutral palettes and softly layered lighting to promote rest and rejuvenation.

The press release said the design of the hotel, created by Looney & Associates, will be informed by Atlanta’s railway history with blends of stone, warm woods, and complementary artwork.

A lobby bar and Italian restaurant will serve as focal points and gathering spots at the hotel. There will also be an executive lounge and JW’s signature Blank Canvas Room—a gallery-like venue with wood floors and white walls designed to transform for any event.
