Savannah Pride Center will host its second annual LGBTQ+ Health Summit on March 6.

The event, held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Civil Center, will bring together health care providers, advocates, public health professionals, and community leaders to address urgent challenges impacting LGBTQ+ health across Georgia and the South.

“We’re navigating political turbulence and systemic gaps in care that directly impact LGBTQIA+ lives,” said Michael Bell, the Executive Director of Savannah Pride Center. “This summit is about equipping providers and communities with the tools, collaboration, and resilience needed to respond — because equity isn’t optional. It’s lifesaving.”

The theme of this year’s summit is “Equity Under Pressure: Advancing Care through Challenge and Change,” reflecting the growing barriers to affirming health care, rising STI and HIV rates, and negative mental health effects of anti-LGBTQ+ legislation.

The day-long event will feature two concurrent educational tracks, expert-led sessions, and discussions on the current state of LGBTQ+ health care in the South, trauma-informed and affirming care practices, the impact of policy on health, domestic and sexual violence in queer communities, substance use and eating disorders through a queer lens, HIV and STI prevention, and the health care needs of LGBTQ+ elders.

Registration and sponsorships are currently open. Registration for exhibitors tabling at the event close on Feb. 27. For more information and registration, visit savannahpridecenter.org.
